This month marks nine years for Hubs and I. Wow. Nine years. That seems so long, yet not.
Sometimes I sit back and just think. I think about the two of us.
I look at old pictures and pictures of our parents and I wonder when we'll look like that. I try to imagine us as an old couple. Hand in hand somewhere, sitting on a deck and watching our kids sort through stacks of our memories. I wonder what they'll find. I hope they see that...
We may not have had very long being "just the two of us" but even now that we're a family of four. I hope our kids can see that we still managed to be "us". I love you, Hubs. Happy Nine!

DeleteThis is great! My husband I were "high school sweethearts". We have been married 2 1/2 years now and it feels like we just met yesterday when it was really almost 7 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! Hubs and I met when we were 15 and we're 27 now so it's been a few… um.. days. ;) But sometimes I forget there was a time he wasn't in my life. :) Congrats on your 2 1/2 years. It goes fast, huh? :)
